Clinical Disclaimer

Selfey is built by a therapist and grounded in published research. That is a real standard, and it is also a boundary — here is exactly what Selfey is and is not.

Therapist-informed, not therapy

Selfey's content, Check-Ins, plans and courses are written and reviewed by a qualified therapist and informed by peer-reviewed research. That is what therapist-informed means: professional judgement shaped the material.

It does not mean you are receiving therapy. Using Selfey does not create a therapeutic, clinical or professional relationship, and no one at Selfey is monitoring your responses.

Selfey does not diagnose or assess

Selfey Check-Ins are reflective self-care tools. They are not screening instruments, psychological assessments or diagnostic questionnaires, and the language Selfey uses — such as supported or needs attention — describes how an area of life is feeling right now, not a clinical finding.

Selfey does not provide medical advice, treatment, medication guidance or psychological evaluation.

Selfey is not crisis support

Selfey is not monitored and cannot respond to an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or if you are thinking about harming yourself or another person, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country now.

When something you write suggests that ordinary self-care guidance is not the right response, Selfey will say so and point you toward real support rather than continuing with everyday suggestions.

Children and teens

Child and Teen Selfey material supports everyday wellbeing and connection at home. It is not a substitute for assessment or treatment by a paediatrician, psychologist, school-based professional or other qualified clinician.

If a child or teen is struggling in a way that worries you, speak with a professional who can see them.

Use your own judgement

Selfey offers small, practical suggestions. You know your own body, history, medication, capacity and circumstances better than any product does. Adapt or ignore anything that is not right for you, and check with a health professional before making changes that could affect a health condition.
