Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information: the email address you use to create a Selfey account, and an encrypted password. Authentication is handled by our hosting provider's managed authentication service. Selfey never stores your password in readable form.

Purchase information: if you buy a Selfey Course or a membership, we record which product your account owns and when. Card details are never seen or stored by Selfey — payments are processed by our payment provider.

Support information: if you send a support request, we store the message you write, the category you choose and your account email so we can reply.

Where your Check-Ins, plans and profiles live

Your Selfey Profiles, Check-In answers, generated Selfey Plans, saved items and boards are stored locally in your own browser on the device you use. They are not uploaded to a Selfey server and are not readable by us.

This is deliberate: the most personal part of Selfey — what you typed on a hard day, what your child is finding difficult — stays with you. It also means this information does not automatically move between devices, and clearing your browser data will remove it.

If Selfey later offers synced accounts so your plans follow you across devices, that will be an explicit, opt-in change and this policy will be updated before it happens.

Children and teens

Selfey is intended for use by adults. A Child or Teen Selfey Profile is created and managed by an adult account holder on their own device, and the information inside it is stored in that browser rather than on a Selfey server.

We do not knowingly create accounts for children. We do not build advertising profiles from Child or Teen information, and we never sell it.

Analytics

Selfey records simple product events — for example that a Check-In was started or a membership page was viewed — so we can understand whether the product works. These events record the name of the action only.

We do not send the content of your Check-In answers, your typed reflections, your plans or your Guides to analytics.

Who we share with

We use a small number of service providers to run Selfey: a hosting and database provider (account, purchase and support records) and a payment provider (checkout, subscriptions and receipts). They process this information on our behalf.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your choices

You can view and change your email address, sign out, clear the Selfey information stored on your device, or ask us to delete your account entirely from the Account area.

Deleting your account removes your account record and support history. Because Selfey Course purchases are one-time purchases tied to your account, deleting your account also ends access to them.

Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests can be sent through the Help Center using the Account category. We respond to verified requests from the account email address.
